What is the format for a Trilogy Challenge?
A Trilogy Challenge is very flexible. It can be one round, two rounds, or a doubles event and could even feature a flex start where players can show up when it is convenient for them. It is at the discretion of the tournament director.
The format we play at the White Spruce Trilogy Challenge is a regular singles format consisting of two rounds of 20 holes. One round in the morning and one round in the afternoon with a break for lunch in between. Both rounds will be played from the short tee pads.
What discs can I use in a Trilogy Challenge?
Players are only allowed to use the three discs provided by the tournament director.
How do the discs in this years player pack fly?
Latitude 64 Falchion – Speed: 9 Glide: 6 Turn: -1 Fade: 2
Westside Discs Sling – Speed: 5 Glide: 5 Turn: 0 Fade: 1
Dynamic Discs Marshal – Speed: 3 Glide: 4 Turn: 0 Fade: 1
I’ve never played disc golf. Is the Trilogy Challenge for me?
Yes, anyone can play. The most important aspect of the Trilogy Challenge is to get new players out to play disc golf and to have fun! Don’t be discouraged or nervous to attend a Trilogy Challenge if you have never played disc golf. This is a perfect opportunity to get started.
Are the three discs in the player pack approved for a PDGA event?
Yes, all three of the discs will be PDGA Approved by the time you play in a Trilogy Challenge and you will be able to use any of them in a PDGA event as soon as you receive them in your player pack at a Trilogy Challenge.
